Sentra

A solar-powered crop intelligence device that turns field conditions into farmer-ready alerts.

Built ForClient

Crop intelligence, closer to the field.

The Problem

Crop stress, pests and disease do not always become obvious at the point when they are easiest to address. Across a farm, a smallholder farmer may not be able to see every change early enough to know where attention is needed.

What We Built

We built Sentra, a solar-powered crop intelligence device that uses optical and hyperspectral sensing with local edge processing, then sends an SMS alert in the farmer's local language when the system detects signs that need attention.

Key Features

Solar-powered field unit

Installed on the farm and powered by solar energy.

Optical and hyperspectral sensing

Uses optical and hyperspectral sensors to monitor crop conditions.

Local AI and SMS alerts

Runs AI models on an edge processor and sends alerts by SMS in the farmer's local language.

Use Cases

Farm condition monitoring

Designed to monitor crop conditions directly from the farm.

Stress, pest and disease alerts

Built to flag detected signs for further attention.

Farmer guidance

Sends an SMS describing the detected issue and suggested next steps.
