THE PROBLEM
Africa’s development challenges are physical and urgent.
Across energy, water, agriculture, health, and materials manufacturing, Africa’s most pressing challenges persist not because of missing ideas, but because of weak systems for building, producing, and maintaining hardware locally.
Too many solutions remain abstract, or imported, failing to operate because they weren’t built for local supply chains and environments. Re-Build exists to bridge that gap

Operating Pillars
Re-Build focuses on five domains where physical systems matter the most. These pillars guide how we prioritise projects, partnerships, and help our Entrepreneurs-in-Residence.
The Forge
The Forge is Re-Build’s Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EiR) Program, a nine-month, execution-focused residency for early-stage African hardware innovators. Designed to move innovators from problem to prototype in 3 months, establish alignment with manufacturing constraints from day one, produce fundable, test-backed outputs that can scale.
