Re-Build Pillars
We build where the problems exist.
Good engineering solves problems wherever they exist. These five pillars guide where Re-Build concentrates its product development and partnerships and represent the markets where Re-Build is building the deepest technical capability today. Most of what we build will sit within one or move across several pillars. When a challenging physical problem falls outside them and fits what Re-Build is equipped to do, the label does not stop the build.

01
Agriculture
Sub-Saharan Africa loses an estimated 23% of food production between harvest and retail.
Source: FAO SDG 12.3.1
That loss represents a hardware opportunity across the agricultural value chain: better information in the field, stronger handling systems, more effective processing and storage, and tools designed around the conditions in which farmers actually work.
Where We FocusCrop intelligence, sensing, storage, handling, processing and field-ready tools.
Featured Products

Sentra
Crop Intelligence Device
A solar-powered crop intelligence device that turns field conditions into farmer-ready alerts.

Energy
Nearly 600 million people across Africa still live without access to electricity.
Source: IEA
The opportunity extends beyond generating power. Homes, businesses, institutions and communities need hardware that stores, distributes and makes energy useful at the point where life and work happen.
Where We FocusDecentralised power, battery storage, lighting, charging, productive-use energy and system monitoring.
Featured Products

Pico
Compact Solar Power Kit
A compact solar power kit for low-energy lighting and compatible devices.

Health
WHO Africa reported that half of Africa's population lacked access to essential medicines.
Source: WHO Africa
Access depends on more than clinical knowledge. It also depends on the physical systems through which care, hygiene, safety and essential products reach people.
Where We FocusCare access, hygiene, safety, distribution and practical point-of-use systems.
Featured Products

Safara
Community Safety System
A community alert system that connects a panic button to nearby responders.

Matter
Waste volumes in Sub-Saharan Africa are projected to grow by 124% by 2050.
Source: World Bank, What a Waste
That growth makes material choice, recovery, reuse and fabrication an economic question, not only an environmental one. Matter considers what products are made from, how they are manufactured and what remains after their useful life.
Where We FocusCircular materials, waste-to-value products, repairability, resource recovery and fabrication systems.

Water
Africa's water and sanitation needs have been estimated to require approximately $64 billion in investment every year.
Source: Africa Water Investment Programme / AfDB
The infrastructure gap covers more than access. It includes treatment, movement, storage, monitoring, maintenance and the resilience of systems exposed to population growth and climate pressure.
Where We FocusWater access, treatment, storage, distribution, monitoring and climate-resilient systems.

These are our priorities, not our limits.
Some products sit clearly inside one pillar. Others cross several. What matters is whether the problem is real, hardware is necessary and Re-Build is the right company to take it on.
