Re-BuildBuild With Us

The Capsule - Issue 004: Inside The Work.

Published 1st September 2026

The Narrator here at Re-Build. Last month, we showed you what was new. This month, we brought you closer to the work itself. August took us inside The Studio, into more of the decisions behind our products, and into a new conversation about what it actually takes to build hardware from our studio. And if you’re reading this, you’re among the first to see where that conversation begins with our Re-Cord Podcast! This issue is inside the work.

01. Re-Cord Episode 01 Is Live

We’ve been teasing this one for a little while. Re-Cord is our new conversation series about hardware, design, entrepreneurship, and the people behind the things that get built across the continent. For our first episode, I sat down with Re-Build Founder and CEO Stanley Anigbogu to talk about LightEd, the road to Re-Build, building hardware from Nigeria, and the years of experiments, lessons, and products that came before the company you see today. Before we announce the episode more widely, we wanted readers of The Capsule to see it first.

02. Tour Our Studio with Stan and Josh

You’ve seen the products. This month, we finally gave you the full tour of where they are built. In the Re-Build Studio Tour, Stanley walks through the spaces where our work moves from design and prototyping to fabrication and testing. We also step into my space, the media room, where we record conversations and document the products, people, and process behind Re-Build. Consider this your invitation to look inside.

03. Made by Re-Build: PadFlo

Last month, we gave you a first look at PadFlo in progress. This month, we introduced the full product. Built for Ecobana, PadFlo is a manual wall-mounted menstrual pad dispenser designed to release one pad at a time without electricity. From its earliest sketches to its turning mechanism and final form, PadFlo was developed around a simple goal: make period care easier to access in schools, clinics, and other shared spaces without making the system complicated to use or maintain. PadFlo is now live on our website, where you can see the product from problem to working form.

04. Design Notes on Sentra and Pico

Design Notes this month focused on Sentra and Pico, two very different products shaped by two very different questions. For Sentra, we explored how a rotating 360-degree camera allows one AI assisted compact crop intelligence device to observe more of a farm without requiring several separate cameras or moving parts. For Pico, the question was portability. Rather than simply making a traditional solar system smaller, we designed around mobility from the beginning: like a powerbank, Pico is a compact energy system built to move with the user. Different products. Different decisions. What design decision do you want us to explore next?

05. What Comes Next?

September will be you ever closer to the people doing the building. We’re introducing Builder Stories, our new series about the founders, clients, residents, and builders behind ambitious ideas, and the work it takes to turn those ideas into a working, deployed product. There’s more Re-Cord coming too… A lot of you have been asking, if you are a builder and would like to feature on a Re-Cord episode, say hello@re-build.now or simply… tell us what you’re building. That is it from me this August. See you in the next Issue Builder, all my best. The Narrator
